    Godrej Properties, leading realty firm in India, is set to exceed its sales target for this fiscal year, buoyed by strong demand for its ongoing and upcoming housing projects. The company aims to sell properties worth Rs 14,000 crore, and it is on track to achieve this milestone thanks to a remarkable 48 percent growth in sales bookings during the April-September period of the 2023-24 fiscal year.

    Pirojsha Godrej, Executive Chairperson of Godrej Properties, expressed confidence in reaching and even surpassing the company’s annual guidance. He attributed the success to the aggressive launch pipeline in four key markets, namely Delhi-NCR, Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Pune, and Bengaluru.

    Delhi-NCR has emerged as a significant market for Godrej Properties, contributing a substantial share of total sales bookings in the first six months. The company has plans to launch housing projects in Noida, Gurugram, and Ashok Vihar, indicating the high potential of this region.

    In addition to Delhi-NCR, MMR, Bengaluru, and Pune have also recorded impressive sales numbers. MMR accounted for Rs 1,458 crore in sales bookings, followed by Bengaluru (Rs 1,239 crore) and Pune (Rs 1,187 crore).

    Despite the challenges brought about by the ongoing pandemic, Godrej Properties remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering 12.5 million square feet of projects by the end of the fiscal year.     In the September quarter, the company reported a consolidated net profit increase of 22 percent to Rs 66.80 crore. Total income rose to Rs 605.11 crore, and sales bookings more than doubled to Rs 5,034 crore in the second quarter of FY24.
